First ever virtual event announced
The Cancer Research UK Virtual Winter Run is the new way to keep running during January, and earn a fabulous medal for your efforts.
Following the smash hit success of the original Winter Run Series, runners can now take part wherever they are based in the world, and receive one of the iconic medals in the post.
What do I have to do?
Enter the event and set up the appropriate Cancer Research UK fundraising page on Everyday Hero to help beat cancer sooner.
The challenge is to run 10k per week during January, which can be in one go, or as a culmination of several runs. You can run wherever and whenever you fancy, so take on the streets in the evening, or go for a slow jog at lunch, whatever suits you.
You then must complete a final 10k (in one go) on the weekend of Saturday 2nd/Sunday 3rd February 2019.
How does it work?
You’ll need to track your runs using Strava, Map My Fitness or Fitbit.
These apps are compatible with the Cancer Research UK Virtual Winter Run, so you’ll be able to see how your challenge is coming along.
Once you’ve completed your final run, a shiny top class medal will drop through the door a few days later.
200 launch places into this exciting new challenge are available NOW for just £8 for a limited time.
